What is MindChamps and what makes it stand out?

MindChamps began with a vision – to develop an approach to early learning education that prepared young children for life in a rapidly changing and unpredictable world, by nurturing the attributes of enthusiastic and creative ‘life-long’ learners. We pride ourselves on our unique approach to childcare that helps develop the Champion Mindset in children and allow them to build the foundations to reach their full potential!

Why MindChamps vs other providers?

Our research-based approach, which factors in 20+ years of findings from neuroscience, psychology, theatre and education, sets us apart from other childcare centres in Sydney. Our long list of awards demonstrates our commitment to offering high-quality development programs, advanced learning strategies, experienced educators and a welcoming childcare environment. Put simply – nowhere else will offer your child a loving, fun environment while also helping them to prepare for a lifetime of learning.

What is on the daily menu?

We provide 5X daily meals, following a menu backed by Paediatric Nutritionist and Bestselling Author, Mandy Sacher. Examples of some of our menu items include crunchy cauliflower popcorn, mango chia puddings and 4-ingredient veggie pasta bake. All food is refined sugar free, and we cater for all dietary requirements.

We comply with ACEQA regulations, but generally have additional educators around to help. ACEQA teacher-to-child ratio is as follows:

  • 1 educator to 4 babies
  • 1 educator to 5 two-year-olds
  • 1 educator to 10 three-five year-olds.
Can my child change days?

Yes we are flexible depending on availability.

What do we do for school readiness?

Our research-based programs help children develop higher levels of independent thought and problem solving skills which get them ready for their first day of school. We also offer reading, writing and fun-based learning activities which not only help children develop practical skills they will use throughout their schooling life, but also fosters a love of learning that ensures they enjoy discovering new things!

Can you follow my child’s current routine or will they need to follow your program?

We understand that every child is different! That’s why we work with families in partnership to develop the perfect solution to your child’s needs.

Have staff been trained?

Yes! All teachers have approved qualifications. On top of this, we provide up to 200 hours of extra training for new staff to get them up to speed with our unique approach to childcare.

What does the structure of each day consist of?

We have a flexible daily schedule that’s packed with play based, child directed learning experiences. We would love you to come and visit our centres so we can show you exactly what your child does on a day to day basis!

How do we communicate with families?

We have an app that is updated throughout the day for you to know what your child is doing, including lots of photos! We update families on how much their child has slept, eaten, nappy changes and what activities and learning experiences they have participated in. We understand how important it is to be kept updated on how your child’s day is progressing so we ensure we communicate a lot!

What is the child care subsidy and what am I entitled to?

Depending on their income level, parents may receive up to 100% of their fees back from the Australian Government as part of the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), which is the main way the Government assists families with their child care fees. This subsidy is designed to offer financial assistance to low and middle income families, so those who apply will need to meet the Government’s requirements.
